wish therapy stopped focusing on what was wrong and
started to answer what can we do about this?
In my private
practice, I take an approach that is short-term and
focused on solutions and strengths. I believe in
helping clients find the skills that will work for them
so that they are able to confidently transition out of
therapy and positively manage their symptoms and
relationships on their own. My areas of expertise
include anxiety and mood disorders in children, working
with new mothers around adjusting to their new role and
managing their emotions, and the challenges of parents
and families especially around power struggles and
trouble staying motivated? Having trouble setting and
accomplishing your personal goals?
Then life coaching may be
for you. In my practice, I offer personal coaching
services to individuals who wish to maximize their life
potential. Coaching is a supportive, goal-oriented
method that is different from traditional therapy. It
is focused on the future, and through structure and
feedback, clients take action to realize their own
visions and desires. My focus in this area is with
individual adults, parents, new mothers, and
stay-at-home mothers returning to the workforce.
After receiving my
Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in 1993, I
pursued my Masters of Social Work from the University of
California, Berkeley. I am a Licensed Independent
Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and a member of
the National Association of Social Workers. Since 1999,
I have been providing quality clinical services to the
Blackstone Valley. Not only do I work in the community,
but my husband and I are raising our 3 young boys here.
